I am a writer and anthropologist researching what it means to be human in the machine age.

I hold a PhD from Stanford University and I am an affiliate of the University of Cambridge Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy.

My research has received honors and funding from the National Science Foundation, the Mellon Foundation, and the American Ethnological Society, among others. I have written for publications including the Los Angeles Review of Books, Wired,  Social Anthropology, and Palais de Tokyo.

I am always interested in collaborations, speaking, and writing. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and say hello.
